PR chances for foreigner

Post by prback » Fri, 15 Nov 2019 5:34 am

Hello,

I am indian in banking, been in singapire for about 15 years now. Was given PR status in 2005 but renounced it a few years later due to move back to home country. However returned back to Sg in year and got my employment back with the same employer.

Over the period of 10 years of continuous employment in Singapore with the same organisation, i have bought 2 private properties to sink my roots in singapore. Also applied to get back PR back twice but was unsuccessful.

Now my spouse and family have moved to another country to fulfill their pr residency obligation and hence not with me in singapore. Hence i am unable to include them in my PR application.

I want to apply for PR for myself as i see myself being staying in singapore for the rest of my lifetime. I am willing to put back my cpf amount as required.

I am indian and banking professional with significant career growth in past 10 years. However being at mid 40 may not be the most ideal age.

Am looking for feedback or any experiences of people getting back their PR status after spending majority of their career span in singapore. I acknowlege that mine is a tough case but any poditive feedback is welcome.

Thanks

I am sorry. all your boxes are unticked. You are not applying as a family unit, you explicitly say that your other family members are applying for PR elsewhere. Sorry for being blunt here, but your application is clearly opportunistic.

Once you have renounced your PR, these days it is close to impossible to get it back unless you have something very very valuable like you are a scientist, or a doctor with great speciality, etc

Your chance for PR is close to impossible

Unless you are a ultra high net worth individual or someone with special distinction in science, arts or industry, I believe your chances are low. But these are just guesses based on anecdotal evidence, so you can always proceed to take a chance.

Hello, asking on behalf of a friend who is a Nepalese citizen. Single parent with 20 years old son attending university has applied for PR. Been in singapore for close to 10 years and in banking. The son has studied in International School all through and now doing graduation from a private institute in singapore.

Any view s on their chances of approval. Tahnks
