If we wanna go back to China from few months, the immigration status will be a big problem. Sounds like you are not a China born person, otherwise you will know the Chinese regulation limitation for foreigners. Anyway that's off the application topic. I still not sure how big is the influence of apply alone.

From what I can see, considering I've been here 37 years and have dealt with immigration and MOM for the last 25 years as an HR Mgr (recently retired), I'm afraid I don't understand people who want to immigrate and don't want to immigrate. Make up your mind as you are doing neither country any favours. When you burn candle at both ends, eventually get burned. Again, good luck.

you only be PR for 3 yrs and your wife is only 1 yrs.

Might look too short duration for them.
