Hi everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone here has tried the laser skin reserfacing offer by the National Skin Center here? I believe the only way to significantly diminish acne depressions is through laser resurfacing and chemical peels.
If anyone has gone through the laser skin resurfacing, could you kindly tell me how effective it has been in improving your skin and in diminishing the acne scars? I am thinking of going for it soon.

Wow!! you are going for the alser treatment at NSC?? Amazing!! I've ever thought of it too.. But am afraid.. How much does it cost? I heard it's a one-day-affair and cost about S$ 1, 500.00.. Does it really work? If it works, could you please post a reply?? Appreciate it so much.. Have you tried? How is it?

Laser Resurfacing
Hi Pimply
I went to NSC for Laser Resurfacing but my problem was not acne. It was pigmentation. I went for a consultation and then fixed an appt for the Laser Job. The procedure lasted only 5 mins (the laser) but I had to come in an hour earlier to apply gel on my face. After the whole thing was over I felt like a roasted suckling pig
. My whole face was red and a bit swollen and during the procedure it felt like rubber bands snapping at my face
. Couldn't wash my face for the next 3 days - had to sprinkle water only and thereafter the lasered area dried up (scabs) and it took about 10 days to clear. Paid abt $450.00 for the suffering but after that everyone was so impressed with my skin. If you are interested just call for a consultation and the demertologists there will be able to help. I saw Dr Ang Por.

I got my pigmentation removed at NSC too.. Yes had to bear with the brusied spots on the bigger pigmenation areas. But the freckle type formed scabs almost immediately and looked like I suddenly had lots of moles. Mine wasn't as drastic as yours since it only cost half the price.. and I certainly got lots of raving comments after that.

If I could give you some advice....never try laser resurfacing ou chemical peel if you have severe acne for it will make it go away for a while but not eternally...Myself and also a friend of mine had severe acne and we used these products which are very very good and definate result:
Purifying gel by Roche Posay - use it once in the morning to wash your face and at night before going to bed
Afterwards use on effected areas :
A.I also from Roche Posay - apply on severe areas where pimples are located
You will definately see improvement after about 1 month
Once all you primples have disapeared and in the case you have acne scars use the following :
Rose rubiginosa essential oil ( you can get it at any aromatherapy or even at Tang down on orchard road, on the women's floor they have an aromatherapy section)- put twice daily on scar until the scars gradually disapears it should have effect on the scar after two-three weeks you will see improvement.
hope this helps,
good luck!
does this really work?? I have tried so many products until I nearly give up....Who recommended you these products and where can i get the purifying gel?? how long will you see the results too??
