I had to look this one up.
It's only motorised PMDs, i.e. e-scooters, e-bikes and the like, which are banned. Kick scooters, bicycles and PMAs (mobility scooters) are still allowed on footpaths. Bicycles and e-bikes can obviously use the roads.
Other countries that have enacted similar bans at least allow PMDs on the road. Here the ban will probably kill the market completely.
I guess we will see busier roads and public transport, bargins for used PMDs, fitter Grab delivery peeps (they will have to cycle), less PMD fires and pedestrians will be back to complaining about cyclists.
