Parking Woes in condo

Post by drumasb » Thu, 24 Oct 2019 6:14 pm

Hello,

I have an ongoing issue with my condo management over parking. We have a motorcycle and now purchased a car. The MA says motorcycle is a vehicle and they will charge us monthly for parking our car as it is considered as a 2nd vehicle. How is this fair? Both parking lots are not the same.. at this rate tomorrow we will be asked to pay for our bicycle parking as well. Is there a MCST parking regulation guidance that anyone can share?

Thanks in advance,
Uma

Not that I've seen. I've read of this sort of thing before, especially with motorcycles. When I moved into my current place it was conditional on the condo management providing a letter saying I could park two motorcycles.

You need to get your landlord to intervene.

You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Haven’t encountered this issue because no one in my family rides a motorcycle. But from what I have noticed, most of the motorcycle lots are empty in my condo as I suspect most residents drive cars. If this is the case for you, then you should probably speak to your management again or get the landlord to do so on your behalf. If the motorcycle lots are not in high demand, there should be no reason for you to need to pay for it.

Parking fees are set by by-laws that the MCST passes. Nothing to do with the LL. You don't know what you're talking about Lisa.

I think Lisa is another one of Pal's shills here. Some of her answers are pretty good, others show she know SFA about the topic under current conditions. What was de rigor 10 years ago is rarely relevant today.
