My mum's chances for SC

Post by thelitguy620 » Thu, 24 Oct 2019 5:03 pm

Nationality: Indonesian Chinese
Age: 55
Occupation: Store Manager at family business, earning 3.8K per month
Been PR since 1992 (don't ask me why she waited this long)
3 kids in their early 20s, with SC from my dad
Dad is working as a Aircraft Technician with SIA, earning 3.5K per month
Applying under spousal sponsorship
Own multiple properties in SG

Just wanted to know what her chances are like! Thank you!

60% will get. Age alone might be the negative factor.

Any reason why she wants to become SC now?

Sure, the reason is obvious. Health is getting bad and as a PR subsidies hardly exist any more. If you have something major, you may as well go to private hospital. I know, @ 72, I'm wondering why now as well.

Sunday is a common maintenance day. I turned 55 on Sunday and had to wait til after lunch to see what happened to my CPF accounts.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Just an update, after 16 months of waiting, my mum's application was approved a few weeks ago on 24 April. (Lost my account hence the new username)

Now that she's completed the SC Journey (online!), does anyone know if the letter telling her to renounce her Indonesian citizenship from ICA will come by email or by post? She only received the first AIP letter (the SC Journey one) by email it seems.
