Any programmers doing remote work out there?

Post by londonsg » Mon, 21 Oct 2019 7:58 pm

Hi,
I'm a programmer who is interested in getting into doing remote work as I'm struggling to get a local job in Singapore (mainly because of my current visa).

I've been a programmer quite a long time but never done any remote work. I would be really keen to hear from (and even meet) any programmers that are currently doing this and get some hints and tips about the best way to get into this.

Thanks!

I'm a full time remote developer, found this on a website that specialises in these kind of jobs. Not sure if I'm allowed to mention it so feel free to pm if you don't know it.
I not troll/wacko/spammer.
Me no expat. Me foreigner.

tiktok, we don't mind giving recommendations, that's what we do here, if you are recommendation a site you have successfully used, then referring it to our readers is fine as long as it is not your own website, as then it is no longer a recommendation but a sales pitch. On the other hand, when you ask people to contact you via PM for more information, it appears that you have a vested interest.

The only exception to this is in the case of recommending real estate agents to our readers. As this site is provided by a real estate group, they frown on Honda salesmen on their Mercedes showroom floor trying to sell Hondas (online or via PM).

Sorry, londonsg. Some people cannot take a hint.
