I heard of it but don't know much about it. Do anyone of you know the details regarding it.
News did not elaborate much details. They are still investigating on the case. It was only details that they found a loading pistols in a 24yo man house during the search. Was suppose to search for drugs, in the end no drugs found but found a loading pistols.

It was easy up until a decade ago to buy guns in Thailand and obviously quite possible to smuggle them down to Singapore. SMS may remember a case in the 90s where a former US Veteran had smuggled in a shotgun and something else and end up in a gun battle before killing himself. It was very sad.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.

Have you seen how many trucks, cars and bikes cross the causeway every day?
How do you think there are drugs here (never seen them but heard stories)
I assume a random midnight boat would be caught, but sailing into a marina or one of the commercial boats?
It is the threat of serious punishment rather than the physical barriers

Wahhh. Sounds legit. But I am not expecting a loading pistol coming out from a young 24 man. My goodness. He gonna get a heavy sentence. I guess?

ST article says this was a joint operation of SPF and CNB. 5-10y possible bracket if convicted for the firearms.

Looks like something reasonably large - maybe a 9mm. Certainly not a .22 pop gun.

Yes, smuggling through trucks, bikes etc could be the highest possibility. For a moment, I thought they DIY-ed their own guns..
