Greater Southern Waterfront (GSW)

Post by abbby » Mon, 07 Oct 2019 3:03 pm

So soon enough, we're going to have thousands of new condos and HDB flats in the Keppel Road region and also more developments in the Sentosa and Brani area. Being little worried, as I was hoping to consider living there. But looks like there's going to be a massive construction there with dozens of trucks in and out most of the time when that happens? Please share your thoughts... :???:

You've still got 2 years before the lease runs out on the golf course so get in and out before Dec'21!
Seriously though, what other alternative areas are you looking at?

Didn't think of an alternative as Sentosa had a really laid back kind of vibe which I quite liked. Any suggestions?

Depends on what "laid back" vibe means to you. Tiong Barhu or Katong I would say are "laid back" but in a more urban cafe culture kinda way.
I live downtown and would consider it very laid back during the weekends, but still have everything accessible by foot.
I like the mixture of modern and traditional hence my suggestions of above.
Perhaps as you're interested in Sentosa/Keppel, that mixture less of a priority for you?

You could look at the typical expat areas of River valley, Holland village, Orchard or Bukit Timah....

The GSW is a bit rich for my tastes. It will be inevitably screwed up further by the developments coming.
