That made it a lot easier. I'd been buying them by the box (24 bars) at the Dollar$tores in either in my housing estate or up on the 4th floor of NEX but you are right. They haven't had any for about a month now. The last ones I was able to buy were the bags of mini's. But they were for my wife. I actually prefer the ones by Peter Paul (US) "Mounds" which are coated with dark chocolate and not milk chocolate like the British "Bounty". I actually prefer Snicker's over Bounty but I can be easily addicted to them and they were actually mostly responsible for my weight gain (along with a definite addiction to Muruku).
Muruku is such a killer! So tasty. Have you tried the fish muruku? Don't really look like the typical muruku (or taste like it for that matter) but incredibly crunchy and addictive.

Well, I said I wasn't going to go below 70kg!

But, as I've only made an adjustment to my snacking (from Snickers/Bounty/Muruku to Triscuits & good cheeses about every other night (maybe only 8~10 pieces) and not non-stop from 2 or 3 hours after dinner till 2:30~3:30 am every night. So it's been pretty effortless in reality and yesterday morning when I got on the scales, I was pleasantly shocked (although my wife has been telling me a couple weeks to make sure I put a belt on as my shorts will be down around my ankles).

I weighed 67.9 kg. Total loss since mid-May is now 16.5 kg (~36.5 lbs). To say I'm chuffed would be an understatement. I've not done anything drastic except the cutting out of eating snacks late at night. Maybe with my advancing age, the bottom might be lower now. Will keep up until it becomes bothersome or set a new floor at 65kg then re-evaluate.
Off topic (lol).... Where do you get bounty these days? I no longer see it in shops...
My hubby's favorite, amazingly, they sell it in the provision shop in my condo.
Yea one of my favorites as well. I'm like SMS - I prefer the dark chocolate variant.

My biggest problem with snacking is feeling the need to have chips with my tuna sandwich for lunch (something I often eat, up to twice a week). Having some Cool Ranch Doritos or Sour Cream & Cheddar Ruffles on the side is tough to pass up.

Have you tried baked chips? Personally I'm not a fan but maybe they're for you. What I've found to be a really great (fairly low cal) snack are goldfish. 140 cals for 50 something pieces.

My guilty pleasure, Brookside dark chocolate. Filled with these delicious fruit jellies, I like the pomegranate flavor. Blueberry and açaí is good too.

I've cut back on carbs at dinner but increased my intake for Starbucks ;D
I had to cut out Starbucks long ago. The drinks are so calorically dense and I just can't justify the expense.
Usually I take black coffee without sugar only. That helps a lot especially if you take a lot coffee in a day. :)

Sweetened condensed milk is another thing… I use it in my tea and coffee. I drink a half cup, once or twice a day. I wish I could cut that, but the only way is to just give it up completely. If I can’t enjoy it, there’s no point - just drink water.

I drank Indian style tea up until I went on my diet when I was 60. Since then after the diet was completed and I'd lost 26kg there were some things I never changed. One was soft drinks with sugar (been drinking Pepsi Black or Coke Zero (no longer-prefer Pepsi Black). Same with my tea, ever since I finished the diet I didn't go back to milk/sugar in my tea. now double-bagged Boh black. On rare occasions I will have a single mug/cup of Masala Tea when my Son-in-Law makes it. I've not used salt or sugar as a condiment or when cooking (if I'm cooking - at home all know). Sadly/gladly I don't eat out often as I can't control that so just rarely eat out. My son, after his release, gave up smoking, alcohol, and coffee. He's become one of my disciples drinking double bagged black teas. (been 5 years now). But I do have a few bad habit that were eventually resurrected a decade after my diet was over (snacking late at night but as noted here recently I've lost 14~15 kg since May by watching my snacking. The holidays has me plus 2 kg from my low of 69 at the middle of November. Sadly between Thanksgiving and Xmas I got 2 kg of sins to get rid of (no issue I know what works).

You still drinking soft drinks? Isn't it fattening?

I think the late night snacking or supper are the culprits. Had been doing that since I am a teenager, hard habit to break! Now that I am much older, so easy to get out of shape after the late night meals. My new year target is to give up supper!

Festive season always eat too much, guilty of that too 😋

Pepsi Black is the only soft drink I will drink (it is zero calories and sugar free just like Coke Zero). I don't give up supper, but I do try to limit my late night snacks from Snickers & Muruku to Triscuits & Good Cheeses but in a limited quantity 8~10 crackers in one evening maybe every other day. I eat my evening meal at 1930 hrs but don't usually retire for the night until 0230~0330 hrs in the morning. (which is when I do most of my forum housekeeping - that's why is so easy to start snacking as it almost time for another meal - 8 hrs from my evening meal!)

From the research I have read, artificial sweeteners trigger your body to expect sugar and when it doesn’t come, the reaction is to be more hungry. This results in many people overeating and can end up being worse off than drinking the normal sugar variety.

Back when I was weaning myself off of carbonated drinks, I switched to soda water which is not sweetened at all. It takes a couple of weeks to get used to it, but after that you’ll barely notice the missing flavor or the sweetness. Nowadays, I barely drink any soda. Maybe once or twice a week at most.

Not sure what research you are reading, but they probably have an agenda. All I can say is I've walked the walked and cut out all sugar and salt and the soft drinks I consumed were aspartame laced (yeah, I know the 'facts' from the studies supposedly done but have never been able to duplicate their findings) I only had cravings for 8~10 days when I quit cold turkey sugar and salt at the beginning of my diet. Drank Coke Zero during the course of the program along with my other staple beverage besides 2 ltr of water and that was black tea. After the salt & sugar withdrawal (which was a non-starter for me as it really didn't affect me that much if at all) I did the whole program without any cravings whatsoever for anything actually, and post diet didn't restart any of them until about a decade later (basically shortly before retirement @ 71). I still don't cook with or use them as condiments. Obviously processed foods which for me is only the snacks where I could get a sugar rush, not a craving have been non-starters. I still basically maintain a fresh food diet. Heck, as I sit here typing this I have a half of a mug of Earl Grey Tea and another mug with Pepsi Black waiting. I usually buy pepsi black in bulk (4 to 6 cases at a time every other month from Red Mart or AmazonSg depending on prices. Oh, and as you know I lost 26.5 kg in 22.5 weeks back then. I've just lost 15 kg since end May following a not so strict version of my original diet. Oh, no cravings either and much old as well.

Probably some of the sweeteners do cause cravings. I reckon it would depend on who was paying for the research. But while Aspartame is an artificial it's certainly not causing any cravings for those on the program I did.

I take apple cider vinegar to suppress my appetite

2 things to note. Always dilute it with water or juice. Don’t drink neat. Bad for teeth

Do some research to see if it suits you. All the best
