You're not likely going to be able to convince her to stop drinking it.NamanJohnson wrote: ↑Thu, 07 Nov 2019 5:43 pmhello everyone,
I have a friend who really wants to lose weight. Her diet isn't great, but its not terrible (food-wise), and she does go to the gym occasionally. Her biggest issue: she's addicted to mountain dew. I am convinced that if she just cut that out of her diet and changed nothing else she would drop at least 10lbs...
thanks and regards
Mt. Dew has a lot of sugar, so there are 160 calories per can & 490 calories per litre.
This can add up.
There is a diet version of Mt. Dew, but I never liked the artificial sweetener taste.
She might not either.
Going to a gym "occasionally" rarely works for weight loss.
What's really needed is more ancillary exercise, like walking to bus stops, through MRT interchanges, up stairs, etc.

Try drinking lemon with water or green tea heard thats the kind of drink to lose weight. Also portions plays a part. You yourself is controlling the amount of food intake and also self-love. Love your flawless and insecurities coz there is someone out there who loves you for who you are.
Re: How to lose weight?
I've been drinking sugarcane everyday for the past 2 weeks and wondered - would sugarcane make you fat? It's just sugar right? I did some search online and don't believe the articles that say it can even help you lose weight. How does that make sense. Anyone knows?

Re: How to lose weight?
for 2019 I have been doing intermittent fasting and my tummy is smaller now. in fact it will look pretty flat on some occasional long fasting day.
now its 2020 and I just started OMAD (one meal a day). twitter CEO jack dorsey is a regular of OMAD
and i have to say OMAD is not that difficult once you get the flow of it.
its convenient too... i saved a lot of time haha.
been trying to exercise. just ordered an exercise ball and have been trying to exercise more in the office.
anyone has been exercising with their gym or yoga ball?

I been here a long, long time and know lots who have tried and failed, some over and over. When I decided to do my diet 11 years ago, the clinic also confirmed the problem. The locals (which was the vast majority of their clientele) would deviate almost every week by eating rice which was not allowed as well as the other white starches. When it comes to eating, they haven't much, if any, will power.

Re: How to lose weight?
My nemesis is social eating and bored eating. Constant catered lunches, going out, carry ins, etc. at work that I can't always decline and I'm honestly happy not to have to deal with that for awhile. Once I get into a groove, I have no trouble keeping to calories app if there isn't anything social going on. That's always what trips me.
