16-8 fasting, 5 days a week. Reduced to 12-12 on weekends due to light drinks. Easier to follow by just skipping bfast.jerrywilliams wrote: ↑Thu, 09 Nov 2023 4:38 amHow do you fast? Well, I said I wasn't going to go below 70kg!sundaymorningstaple wrote: ↑Thu, 24 Aug 2023 11:32 pmAn update. I've actually lost 13 kg and for the past two days have weighed in at 71.4 kg. Feeling good and my lower joints are looking up at me and smiling 'thank you'. I think I'm gonna stay in the same mode and then stop at 70 as I know how useless it is to go below that as it's too hard to maintain. 70-72 was always my 'fighting weight' when I was a commercial deep-sea diver until I hit 48. Might try to try harder to stay there cause at 77 most of my get up and go done got up and went! Pretty chuffed how easy it was to drop the 13 kg though.sundaymorningstaple wrote: ↑Thu, 27 Jul 2023 7:00 pm
I've been back on my diet (very loosely to be honest) but have actually only cut out snacking as due to retirement and 3 years of covid, I'd packed on about 12 kg over where I'm happy. So about 10 weeks ago I bit the bullet and decided to get back down to where I feel best. I was 84.4 kg when I started and this morning I went under 74 to 73.7 kg. My goal is 71~72kg which will put me back into my 32 inch 501's again. My 34s are now loose and baggy/saggy fortunately I still have some 33s to get me through the interim transition. Feeling good (and some of you who where at our last drinking session can attest to my girth before starting on the downward slope). As usual, My HBP is down 20 points and the doc will probably take me off of the pills again as it's been shown time after time that my HBP is a direct result of my weight gain or loss.
Off topic (lol).... Where do you get bounty these days? I no longer see it in shops...sundaymorningstaple wrote: ↑Fri, 08 Dec 2023 8:17 pmWell, I said I wasn't going to go below 70kg!sundaymorningstaple wrote: ↑Thu, 24 Aug 2023 11:32 pmAn update. But, as I've only made an adjustment to my snacking (from Snickers/Bounty/Muruku to Triscuits & good cheeses about every other night (maybe only 8~10 pieces) and not non-stop from 2 or 3 hours after dinner till 2:30~3:30 am every night. So it's been pretty effortless in reality and yesterday morning when I got on the scales, I was pleasantly shocked (although my wife has been telling me a couple weeks to make sure I put a belt on as my shorts will be down around my ankles).
I weighed 67.9 kg. Total loss since mid-May is now 16.5 kg (~36.5 lbs). To say I'm chuffed would be an understatement. I've not done anything drastic except the cutting out of eating snacks late at night. Maybe with my advancing age, the bottom might be lower now. Will keep up until it becomes bothersome or set a new floor at 65kg then re-evaluate.
Amazing to have come so far in under a year.sundaymorningstaple wrote: ↑Thu, 16 Nov 2023 2:50 amI'm now bouncing between 69.5 & 71 Kg. (To many wedding, functions and g.kids Birthdays from Oct 1 to end of the year. But trying to watch the snacking. Better than the 84 kg I was at 1 May this year.
Actually, the yolks are not great for you, very high in cholesterol. Better to stick with the whites.HarryPotter wrote: ↑Tue, 21 Nov 2023 12:02 amDo some regualr excersice and i have a personal experience control your diet eat boiled eggs after with the egg yolk it is soo natural way
True, but isn't breakfast what sets the metabolism for the day? It's not called the most important meal for nothing.sliverchair13 wrote: ↑Fri, 08 Dec 2023 4:30 pm16-8 fasting, 5 days a week.
