A friend's coming to Singapore and also wants to visit a place with a nice diving spot... any recommendations? :D

There's nothing worth diving on within a reasonable distance by boat from Singapore. St John's would be the only thing.

You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA

Well, wilst, alas, the Singapore to Tioman ferry is no more, I reckon the diving there is still good enough to justify taking the Mersing ferry, say, for a weekend's diving/R&R getaway, depending on how long your friend has of course.
