Alternative Therapies for Cough and Flu

Post by mic_o » Wed, 18 Sep 2019 10:41 am

Hi everyone, I know that the weather has been real wicked with the haze and would like to share my recent experience and how I managed to get well.
I recently had a really bad attack of a virus which causes me to cough each time I attempted to cough. I had gone to the tcm which prescribed me on some meds for 2 weeks. Subsequently, I had no choice but to see the GP which put me on nebulizer for 5 days because it got so bad that I totally lost my voice. This is the first time in my life which I was so very sick and it got me worried. I could not sleep in the nights as I was the cough was really aggressive and kept me up each time I attempted to fall asleep.
After about 1 month of suffering, I met a friend who introduced me to using an alternative therapy. She introduced me to {sanitized by moderator} and asked me to use it every now and then to soothe the throat. I used it for about another 2 weeks and finally got well. I have been a user of essential oils but did not discover this method of helping my recovery. I am now glad that I have found a new way of using my essential oils. I hope that this will help those who have tried the various options and looking for new alternative treatments too.

Lol do not get me wrong that was not my intention. I have been in the medical industry for a decade and there is definitely still a need for medication for some situations. I just thought that this was a good experience I had that I would like to share.
