Dear guys,
I am an italian guy working in hospitality (more than 5-6 yrs) an I have spend my last 2 years in London as Reception Manager in a 5 stars
property.
I was thinking to move to Singapore as Assistant FOM or Front Office Manager and I was wonderirg how much can be my salary. Which salary expectations would I have?
Considering I would like to have my own studio flat or either a 1 bedroom flat in a normal
condo in a quite good position.
Thanks in advance

2,500 $ ++ for small local companies.
How about giving some information like how big the company is, what's their infrastructure, what is expected of the role ....

Moving ahead 10 years from the original post.
I would say that salary wise (looking at my current own) is much better

Depending on what you meant by average.
I think it hovers between S$30,000 to S$40,000 for a fresh graduate.

It also depends on where you are from originally.

Hi,
I am currently based in Australia but I am thinking about relocating to Singapore - working in the tourism industry. Do you know what the average salary would be for a travel agent or tour guide?
Thank you

Below 2,000 or around there, unless you are commission based.
TAs are not highly paid unless you join a distributor as functional specialist.
Guides ? Likewise. And you need few certifications before being allowed to lead tour groups.

@ecureilx: I see. I guess that I would have to look for another option then since the cost of living is very high...Thanks for the feedback!

And how much is the tax in Singapore ? How much would be my net salary after tax ?
Thanks.
Wow, a very good offer to resist!

Hey guys,
What do you think I could earn as a graduate in an international technology company? Position would be in strategic sales organization. Interns in this department earn 2k/month.
It is difficult to judge for me because in my home country we have a completely different type of tax structure and social security. In my home country I would aim for 80k/year. Comparing this with the MoM-stats this seems pretty high.
Any ideas?
Cheers

I think a better question would be whether you get any work pass from MOM for this type of the job. I would expect your chances to be very slim.

Why would this be? It is a junior position in a strategic department.
SAT says: "Based on the information you have provided, the individual is likely to qualify for both Employment Pass (EP) and S Pass". Just as an indication^^
