Prove to us you didn't buy your masters, do a little research here using the search function. All of this has been answered umpteen times recently. - moderator

Are you coming on a Work Permit or an Employment Pass? Big difference between the two. What are your qualifications & occupation?

Hi Sundaymorningstaple

thank you for the previous replies.

Please help me in deciding whether I should come to Singapore or not

here in India I save around S$1200/month.

so in Singapore if am able to save around S$1.5K to S$2k / month from the salary of S$3600/month then it is ok otherwise the only benefit in comming to singapore will be profile add-on in my resume.

Eagerly waiting for your reply :) as I am still :???:

If you are coming on an EP, your employer will have to furnish your accommodations, otherwise, you are going to be better off to stay in India. Have you checked the EP eligibility tool on the MOM site? If your university isn't listed, you might not even get an EP at all, Q1 or otherwise. Do you already have the IPA? (In Principle Approval letter) If so then you are good to go, with the exception of the housing issue. It's possible to find a room in an HDB (Gov't) flat but that will set you back around 600-1000/mo. Renting a room in a condo will cost you at least 1000 or more.

So, if you can look at it as overseas experience, AND you already have the IPA then do it. Otherwise, check the tool as there is only ONE prestigious university in all of India (from a worldly standpoint - not an India one) and that is IIT.

I already have a IPA form and will be joining the company in Singapore on 23rd july. Also I have checked the tool and my college is listed there

I am considering to reant a govt HDB flay around 800 and other expenses to be around 900 SG$. which will sum upto around S$1.6k to S$2k.

If am good in my calculations then i would save upto S$ 1.5 k to S$2K.
If am wrong then kindly suggest

I want to work only for short term period i.e.for 1 -2 yr only.

so am counting for overseas experience

You mean you are considering to rent A ROOM in a shared HDB flat for S$900?
For a full flat, S$2000 and above is the current price.
