Citizenship chances for my wife

Hi All

This is my first post here and would welcome all opinions here. I am a full born male malay Singaporean age 39 and married to my wife, a filipino and SIN PR since 2005.

We got married 2015 and we have one son born singaporean. We own our hdb bto and wife is working in a public utilities company.

She came here late 90s since she was 9 years old and completed her primary/sec/poly and obtain her degree in kaplan. Her younger sister got her citizenship in 2017 and is a full time teacher, step brother is a singaporean as well..

Our son was born 2018 and 1 mth after he was born, I applied for her citizenship. Submitted online application on Mar'18, got an interview Aug'18 and its still pending..

SG Citizenship Application 1st time. Juz wondering what are the odds here.

Hi lot. Thank u. In terms of our profession, im in
the same shipping company for 14 years alrdy and our combined annual would be about 80k and shes been with this company for close to 7 years. Initially, we thought of submitting her citizenship application before our son was born...but I hold back the plan because it would be more concrete to have him delivered, then we get it done.

Ive been reading other threads for citizenship and pr applications, and generally im seeing a trend of waiting period exceeding the 12th month up to even 18th mth.

Though our credentials may be a bit splendid, the waiting game is a bit nail biting as we speak now that we past the 12th month period... hmmphh...

Dear All,

Latest update. Just checked my ICA eportal and it indicates in the portal that, FINALLY, my wife SC citizenship is approved.

Recap of timeline;
Applied online Mar'2018
Attended interview for documentation checking 20th Aug 2018
Approval received on 16th Dec 2019.

First time application.
And we are still awaiting for the letter.

true dat...many thanks for the encouragement.

After all this, base on what i've read in here and personal experience, have to conclude that the core factor of getting ur citizenship approved is the strong ties of kinship u have here in singapore, and your potential of contributing more to singapore...having a high income is secondary.
