I applied for PR some months ago and still waiting for outcome but for personal reasons I now wish to cancel the application and may consider applying again in the future. Has anyone had experience of this and how to go about it?

Did you submit online?

You cant withdraw the application over phone. You need to walkin and request or request via email

I tried calling and they told me to email and also said any future applications would not be effected

I dont agree to this. They will surely have a record that you applied and withdrew it, which will be taken into consideration in future
