Chances of PR Application Success?

Post by check009 » Wed, 28 Aug 2019 3:19 am

Hi everyone

I'd like to get your opinion on what are my chances of getting a PR under the following circumstances:
  • Korean male, single, age mid-20s
  • Stayed in Singapore for 10+ years since secondary
  • Graduated from NTU in 2018 with Engineering degree, worked slightly more than 1 year with EP
  • Working in semiconductor industry as an engineer: $3000+ basic salary, $4000+ inclusive of allowance
  • Average monthly take-home salary including overtime, benefits: $5000+
  • Never offered or applied for PR previously during my education
For personal reasons, I am applying for PR now despite recommendations of waiting for a few NOAs. Still, I'd like to hear your opinion on the chances of success before I submit my application. Thank you all for your time and have a nice day. :D

Were you invited to apply for PR previously? If you were but you didn't apply back then, you have almost zero chance because they think you tried to evade NS

I did not receive any invitations or offers for PR. It is perhaps because I studied in an International School until JC, as I heard my peers in local secondary school received the invitation around that time.

pretty low unless your Chinese-Korean ethnicity.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

When you say Chinese-Korean, you mean like one of my parents being from China? :-k
