Windows 10 or Windows 7

Which operating system is better for computer novice? I am asked to install a new on of them and some good apps for my mother's computer,which OS you are using now?

Windows 7 is no longer supported except for security patches and that support will cease in July, 2020.

New applications may not run under old operating systems.

Install Windows 10 and be done with it.

Ya gotta wonder why he'd be asking that on a Singapore expat forum when posting from Taiwan......

Dodo bird only needed to see support would cease in July 2020 which is only 10 months away.

if his/her friend is going to make an appearance, they better hurry as Guness is not long for this board.

Win 10 and Outlook (latest version) are a dog. A half minute to open an email or a new window is all too common.
