PR pending dillemma

Post by bhalvindrakumar.maran » Sat, 17 Aug 2019 10:25 am

Hi Good Day to All,

I am in a dilemma now as my PR is still pending. Although its just 4 months pending but what makes me worry as two of my juniors from the same company has gotten their PR less than 3 months.

All three of us are Malaysian Indians with EP. We are working as a Site Geologist. We all have more a less same salary in the range of 2500 -2800SGD .

Normally, any possible chances for approvals or isit like based on quota?

It could take up to a year or more. The problem it that you people will never learn that what happened to somebody you know has absolutely NO relevance to your application. NO two applications are identical as all need background checks to be performed. The only way is to be clones of one another at exactly the same time in space. Only then. So far we have never come across anybody who meets that description. Yes there are quotas but not carved in stone. But a general guideline seems to be it's based on ethnic demographics in Singapore. So you can figure that somewhere around 12% of the approvals for PR in a given year for a minority ethnic group will be available out of the total target set by the ICA. All you can do is apply, wait, and keep a Plan B always.
