How much is good enough??

Am a foreigner .. was here for assignment for a year and now offered permanent position .. work in IT field with a MNC... once take up permanent position will have to find own accomodation etc.. what is the average salary i should be asking for (have not negotiated on this yet..) any thoughts . some rough picture? anyone in similar field? can you please share info..

Salaries in Singapore range for S$400 (cleaner) to S$160000 (Prime Minister, as of 2000) per month. I would suggest you aim somewhere inbetween.

Alternatively, you could maybe tell a little about a) your current salary, b) amount of work experience and b) what exactly it is that you do, and maybe some kind soul will offer a better guideline.
