Will holding contract jobs affect PR ?

Post by eren_jaeger » Wed, 24 Jul 2019 2:58 pm

Hi,
Would like to ask whether working for a contract job which could be renewed bi-annually affect any chance of PR application and approval?

In reality, it could be affected because you need to be employed both during the submission of the application and during the formalities if your application gets approved.

Right, so even if you are still under the contract, the government might deem that your contract might not be renewed, hence will not grant you PR? What if your contract is renewed? How would they actually take into account to consider the case?

I believe as long as you are employed at the time of formalities and have submitted all the required documents at that time, then you will become a PR.

The risk I am talking about is that you may not be employed anymore at the time of the formalities considering the nature of your employment.
