Entry Permit and Re-Entry Permit

Post by weehong88 » Thu, 11 Jul 2019 4:10 pm

Hi guys,

I have a question to ask

What is the different between Entry Permit and Re-Entry Permit?

Before I get the physical IC, what documents should I bring along since my pass already returned to ICA

Thank you

Entry Permit permits the holder thereof to enter and reside in Singapore, provided that the holder at the time of his entry is in possession of a valid passport. So it’s one off but you do need to retain it. You’ll need it to prove the date you became a PR when you convert your driving license.

A valid Re-Entry Permit (REP) is needed each time a permanent resident (PR) travels abroad. The REP allows you to retain your permanent residence while you are outside Singapore. If you leave Singapore or remain overseas without a valid REP, you will lose your permanent residence.

The above paragraph is from ICA and is self-explanatory.

So I need to bring entry permit or re-entry permit wherever in Singapore before I collect my IC?
