Before I get the physical IC, what documents should I bring along since my pass already returned to ICA

Entry Permit permits the holder thereof to enter and reside in Singapore, provided that the holder at the time of his entry is in possession of a valid passport. So it’s one off but you do need to retain it. You’ll need it to prove the date you became a PR when you convert your driving license.

A valid Re-Entry Permit (REP) is needed each time a permanent resident (PR) travels abroad. The REP allows you to retain your permanent residence while you are outside Singapore. If you leave Singapore or remain overseas without a valid REP, you will lose your permanent residence.

Of course. The PR holder has to hold onto it for life (or until they give up PR). ICA officer recommended laminating as well.
