How Can I Spend My Life In Singapore?

Post by MargoAnne » Thu, 11 Jul 2019 12:54 am

Hello, everyone! After a beautiful holiday in Singapore, getting a taste of life in Singapore, the food, the transport system, I really want to live in Singapore once I'm an adult. I'm a teenager. I would love to go to college there, work there and live there. How could I move to Singapore on a more permanent basis (I don't know how to put it), not just there for work.

Here's some background information, though I don't know if it's necessary or not: I'm Latvian, born in Latvia, have a Latvian passport and have lived in Ireland since I was a mere month old.

I've read up on information about life there, etc. but I'm still clueless about this aspect- whatever you call it.

Any help would be much appreciated!

As a foreigner, you can live in Singapore by
- being employed in a Singapore based company (employment pass)
- being a student in a recognized institute (student pass)
- being married to a Singapore citizen, permanent resident or employment pass holder (Long Term Visit Pass, Dependent Pass)
- being a permanent resident. All the above passes can lead to permanent residency but it is not guaranteed.
