Hi all, this is my first post here and thanks for reading a long message.
I was working in Singapore with EP for the past 2.5 years but decided to migrate to UK.
I applied UK visa on 31st May and visa is still pending, passport in UK.
My EP was cancelled on 18th June and my employer issued me STVP which is valid until 18th July.
I’m trying to contact UKVI immigration but the whole process is taking so Long.
Is there any way to extend my STVP until I get my passport back, should I ask ICA and ask for advices?
I would appreciate if you all can give me advices. Thanks in advance

Yeah, I can't help you there. New one on me. Problem is, in theory anyway, you cannot extend the SVP you got upon cancellation of your EP. This is one where I think I'd make a trip down to ICA, personally, and request to talk with an officer (not a front line clerk) and explain your dilemma. They are pretty reasonable if approached, hat in hand, with a reasonable explanation (which you have - the return of your PP is out of your control).

Thanks for the advice. I will go to ICA this week and speak to the officer personally. I hope an honest and reasonable explanation would pull me out of this mess.

Let us know the outcome if you can. Good luck.

Just out of curiosity how come your UK visa isn't getting done by the UK embassy here?
Re: STVP after EP cancellation and overstay
I just went to ICA today and spoke to an officer, he asked me to come back 1 day prior to valid stay with sponsor and statement of my passport in UK.
He told me we couldn’t tell you what we will do but I hope if I couldn’t get my passport back on time, they would possibly extend my visit pass.
With regards to Max question, I go through VFS global visa which are working in liaison with UK visa.
