20 Years in SG. SC application rejected after 21 month wait

Post by Eagle888 » Tue, 11 Jun 2019 7:27 am

Hi,

Been in Singapore since 2001. PR since 2003. Combined income 240K. My income 145k. Not of preferred race (unfortunately). Applied for SC in Aug 2017. Received mail by post that application was unsuccessful!

I am thinking of appealing. Has anybody in this forum appealed successfully? Even if not successful, does it impact your future application (if you re-applied for SC). I am just baffled why they rejected our application - trying to seek some answers to avoid future recurrence. Also, if application was once rejected does it mean future chances are negligible?

Your thoughts/inputs are appreciated. Thanks.

It's a lot more than race, age and income.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Reasons are

1. You have waited too long.
2. If you had applied after 6-10 years, you would have easily got it
3. They would prefer someone who is more younger than you from your race

Did you apply with your kids ? What do you both work as?
Do your kids study in local schools?

Appeal is surely not going to help. Leave a time gap of 2 years and apply again. If rejected, then continue to stay as PR
