My first post in this forum, hope can get some advices as i get lost after the reject from ICA.
Background:
Me: Relocated to SG at May 2017 / EP / 9.2k base and 14k gross / HK / 35 Age
My wife: Relocated to SG at May 2016 / EP / 6.7k base and 9.5k gross / HK / 34 Age
We applied at Jan 2018 as a family and I am the primary applicant.
Got rejected after 15months waiting, which is Apr2019.
Should we appeal or wait half year to apply a new one? And should I use my wife as primary applicant as the duration in SG is longer than me...
Remarks: During the 15months pending, i did keep updating ICA on my promotion and salary change, now i do not see a big change vs last time update.

What is your race? What is your nationality? I see you put "HK" but that could mean a number of things.
What industry are you and your wife in? What is your position? How many countries have you lived in over the last 10 years?
You've only been in Singapore 2 years NOW... you applied after only 7 months in Singapore... while not hard and fast, 3 years is the norm. I'm not surprised you were rejected.
If you are working for a company that promotes and transfers you, that is a negative as they know you will move again the next time your company wants you to move.

My race is Chinese which born in hk.
Both of us stay in hk since birth before relocating to SG
Me: Electronic products / MNC / Senior Operations manager (Promoted to senior after PR application)
Wife: Aviation / MNC / Senior regional sales manager
The story is my wife getting a new job based in SG three years ago. One year later, we got married and I applied the internal transfer to SG. I think this also showed our determination to stay in SG
We also struggle who should be the primary applicants.
Me: Higher salary
Wife: Stay longer (Three years now) / New hire in Singapore instead of relocation

Recently married and short stay are 2 reasons why you didnt succeed.
Wait for 2 MORE YEARS, then reapply with 3 Tax assessments. You will be OK.
Appeal at this stage won't be helpful.

True, depending on how much cash one has, most people will give it max 3 months to find something before bailing. Still much better than 30 days.
