Are local grown aloe vera good for skin/face, as a moisturizing product? Has anyone tried it?

Yes, I've grown and eaten my own aloes before. And used on face as well. Moisturizing.

Yes, I have 2 aloe plants in my house. They require little care, and the aloe vera gel it produces can be used in a multitude of ways. My personal favorites are to soothe sunburns and to moisturize dry skin. It is important to note that it is difficult to use the aloe gel straight from the plant; I like to empty out the gel from the plant into a container, and put it in the fridge to keep it cool.
