agent commission paid by landlord for 6months renewal

Post by ysr » Thu, 16 May 2019 2:31 am

Hi all,

is it true that even for a 6 months renewal of lease by landlord with the same tenants , landlord has to pay half month rent as commission...
any body has experience in how much commission do agents usually charge for extension of rental lease for 6 months only.
any inputs highly appreciated.

It really depends on the contract signed between the owner and agent but for a 6months it should be half the commission of a normal 1 year contract.

Really depends on the agreement between the 2 parties..but I know the norm here is owners usually pay renewal fees to the agents.

In the contract there's a clause to state whether you need to pay the agent commission for renewal. up to you to go and negotiate!
