5th June 2019 –Hari Raya Puasa - public holiday?

Hello anyone that lives in Singapore,

I am travelling to Singapore on a business trip during the first week of June and noticed that it's a public holiday on Wednesday 5th June for Hari Raya Puasa in Singapore.

What does this mean for everyone living there? Is everyone excused from work? i.e are all large companies closed for the day? Are the banks open? Do letting agents work on this day? Are there any events that I should be aware of for travelling?

I just want to make the most of my trip in anticipation of relocating later in the year so just wanted to check in to see if anyone can advise.

Any feedback welcome, much appreciated.
Thanks
G

Govt, banks and most companies will be closed. Shops will be open. Letting agents will still be showing houses I'm sure.

Hi thanks for your reply.

Are there any events or anything that may disrupt travel services etc?
