CAN A DOMESTIC HELPER HAVE A LEASE?

Post by martincymru » Fri, 10 May 2019 3:04 pm

Q1
A Filipina maid wants to take out a long term lease on a condo here in Singapore. She will not be living in the unit, it is empty. Is this allowed?

Q2
ditto except the maid buys the condo.

//
On basis that she has existing legal residency then I assume no law(s) infringement?

I don't see any issue myself but FDW passes seem to be under slightly different rules.

On another topic do you know where we can put up a FDW for two weeks? I know there is some cheap accomodation around.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!
