Citizenship 2nd Attempt: Any Better?

Post by Reacher9192 » Fri, 10 May 2019 2:40 pm

Hi guys,

I'm applying for citizenship after being rejected in Apr 2018 (applied Apr 2017). Here is my profile:

Nationality: Indian
Age: 29
In Singapore Consecutively: 13 years (2006-, studies then work)
PR Status: PR since 2014 (first attempt approval)
Education: NTU Bachelors
Employment: Continuous employment since 2010 with a Fortune500 MNC, based in SG. Working almost 9yrs now, two promotions and 3x salary growth
Annual income: >$150k excl. employer CPF

Marital Status: Married since 2016. Spouse LTVP
Spouse Nationality: Indian, same age
Spouse Education: Masters in SMU, Bachelors India
Spouse Employment: working with an Asian bank in CBD. Salary ~50k/yr
Total household income: ~200k/yr
Spouse PR: Applied twice, both times unsuccessful. Both times was <2yr married and spouse wasn't employed
Children: None

I just applied for renewal of REP and it has been renewed for 5 yrs. Do you think if I re-apply for my Citizenship I have any better chances?
What has changed since my last attempt: 1 more year of being married, spouse is now gainfully employed with 2-yr LTVP and 2-yr PLOC, REP renewed, salary increased ~20k/a for mine alone

What do both of you work as?

- Wait for 1-2 years
- Apply PR for your wife and SC for you
- Employer CPF is not counted as your earnings. Not sure why you mentioned that?

I think you have a chance since you were approved for PR on 2014 when PR approval has already been tightened.
