Apply DP under current employer while new EP status is pending

Hi everyone,

Currently I am moving to a new company and that company has applied for my new EPass and the status is pending.

Also I need to apply dependant pass for my new born child under the current company because I only start my new job in July.

So that I am not sure when should I ask my current employer apply for my child DP...
Scenario 1:
- Ask the current employer to apply DP for my child now while the new EP is pending

Scenario 2:
- Wait for the approval of new EP
- then ask the current employer to apply DP for my child

Actually I prefer scenario 1, but I am not sure whether it will affect my new EP application (cause confusion for authority ? might be)

Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you
