Extending visa after quitting?

Post by brackobamer » Wed, 17 Apr 2019 1:48 pm

Hi guys, would like your advice on something. My wife just got an opportunity abroad and we will be relocating from here. We both hold EPs and are foreigners. I want to quit my job asap so I can take a break after my notice period but I can only stay in Singapore for a maximum of 2 months after putting my papers in, from my understanding (1 month notice, and 1 month after they cancel my pass). However, the move might take about 3 months. I wanted to know if there is any way of extending my visa after the 1 month from my pass cancellation? Is leaving the country and re-entering the only way? I don't want to risk that as they might be suspicious of me coming back after quitting my job (or am I just being paranoid)?

After pass is canceled you get 30 days, not extendable. If you try to do a visa run you will likely run into problems. unless you disappear for a week. Then you might get lucky.
