I found a really long (for Singapore) hike through the forest and I'm just curious if anyone else has done it before. It starts at Chestnut Nature Park and ends at Upper Pierce Reservoir Park, or alternatively Upper Seletar Reservoir Park. You can see the route on Google maps. Although the paths are fairly well defined, I've never seen anyone else. However it's not hard to lose the path which could get a little interesting since you have no cell reception at times and no sense of direction throughout. Would definitely not like to be there after dark.

Not sure how to explain it really, other than start at Chestnut Nature Park, then go wherever you see "authorized personnel only" and "live firing area keep out!" signs, while checking Google maps to see if you're on the right track

Would be interested to know about this 8 hour hike too.

Finally figured out how to make it a loop. Here's my attempt to track it with an app:

Several "no entry" signs must be ignored and at one point you need to climb over a locked gate, so it might not be for everyone.

@PNGMK maybe next Saturday?
Here's another route I found, involves some nastily overgrown paths, but you get to see some mysterious government facilities that are blocked on satellite view in Google maps.

Here's a rather insane route - 4 hours alongside a 12 ft security fence. It seems Singapore has enough emergency shelters for the entire population, and some good explosion testing facilities. GPS went crazy at some point, probably signal jamming.

Perhaps not signal jamming but GSM blind spot with AGPS?
