How to rent out monthly rooms in landed property/townhouse

Hi,
My employer is expat living in Singapore and looking for people who would share his townhouse for 3 months starting mid of April. There are 2 master bedrooms available for rent. I heard that renting out for short term is illegal in Singapore. Is that true? If so, how can I help him to rent out the bedrooms?
