Got PR, but job wants me to relocate out of Singapore

Post by writerplane » Wed, 03 Apr 2019 10:43 am

Hello, not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I need some advice & guidance.

I applied for PR and got it last week. Now my company wants me to relocate back home and take up another role. I don't mind moving back, but I am wondering how this affects my PR status.

Can I still keep my PR and move back home in 2-3 months, or will the PR be cancelled?

I would like to move back to Singapore in a few years (2-3) if possible, so the PR would certainly be helpful.

There's no point having PR if you're not in Singapore. On your first PR you should however get an REP of 5 years which gives you some time to move back. If that doesn't work out then you'll eventually lose it.

You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!
