NS Liability in practice (older, naturalised)

Post by chocolatehead » Fri, 29 Mar 2019 12:48 am

Please help!

For a male second-time PR or a new citizen, that person has NS liability.

If he’s already over 40 (say 42), what does this liability mean in practice?

- will he have to serve full-time NS for a period of 2 years like the young ones?

- the annually recurring operationally ready NS has finished by that age, except for officers, which is presumably not a grade that a new serviceman would have, so I assume they would not need to do this at all. Is that correct?

Thank you much for any insights...

don't you read others posts? no chance of call up unless China goes rogue and in which case everyone will be fighting for survival.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!
