Need help with choosing a stroller please!

Post by dinadina » Tue, 26 Mar 2019 3:41 pm

Hello!

I am going to be a mum soon and the question of a stroller is driving me crazy. We don't have a car, so we use both public transport and taxi quite often. This means that we need a car seat here. Then, we need something light and foldable, so it can fit in a taxi, and we will have no issues with taking it on a plane. Finally, it needs to be good for newborn, but if possible, not only for a newborn, -- we'd like it to last for more than just 4 months.

We have considered mamas & papas urbo 2 with a cybex car seat -- but it seems big and I am not sure how a 180 degrees reclinable stroller fits newborn. Is bassinet a total must for a newborn?

We also looked at yoyo+. It seems to be super versatile but I don't know how good is it for a baby.

Are there any durable models you can recommend from your experience?

Thank you very much!

For the first few months we had a combined cradle/car seat .... I don't see them around now tho so maybe they are no longer made. It was from the USA. It didn't have a separate base but slots for the seat belts so it worked perfect in taxis here. The handle would swing down.

For a stroller at toddler I bought the cheapest pretty much and didn't bother with the fancy ones. It lasted long enough that my daughter was able to use it as well. It was just cloth and a frame - it wasn't a prame but a sit up type.
