Re-registering marriage in Malaysia necessary?

Hello,

I am from Europe and married to a Malaysian lady with SG PR. We got married (non Muslim) in SG.

We have registered our marriage in the high commission of Malaysia in SG. Do we need to re-register the marriage in Malaysia if for example I need one day to apply for a spouse visa there? Or for any other reason?

Oh if you travel to Malaysia take a copy of your marriage cert so the Islamic Secret Police can't charge you w Kawalat.

I am married to a Malaysian woman in the UK and we had to go to the MYHC in London to get 3(?) MY Marriage Certificates. Oh, we also had to pay a "fine" of about £20 for being over a year late.
