My Experience from China to Singapore

Post by mmmaweiyuan » Thu, 21 Mar 2019 6:07 pm

Since the transfer from China to Southeast Asia,I have often traveled between Vietnam,Laos,Indonesia and other countries. From my beginning of small goods, small electrical appliances to the trade of coal,I develop a lot. I always think about how can we transfer business abroad in a wider range, how can all of the company, the supplier and me make the best profit. At first,it was time to corporate with others to trade.Talking about projects, analyzing and deliberating the different prices of different deals, observing the needs of others, all of these made me occupied. From nothing to so many fixed customers, just like the network which made up by ourselves,it can't be very easy. On the other hand,if you can easily get touch to the customer who just need some products by the man-machine network built by yourself, you would be more and more relaxed during the process.
Of course, I have also be troubled in the situation that my customers who have had cooperate with me for totally a long time be pulled away by others. I think I should't have complain about it,I can only admire that other people's methods are greater than mine so that they can take away the customers I have already reached. Therefore,I recognized that the most important thing which should not be overlooked is all of us should know the need of customers are changing and cost control in the market are changing. If we invariably think that we already reached a few customers and then we can relax ourselves and even get rid of the trade for months,we will gradually lag behind others, and eventually fail to keep up with them.
When I found my first business,I benefited from the best products of the manufacturer. At first,I get along with the business of cloth in Suzhou, then I moved to Vietnam. Every day I was busy choosing patterns with customers,in the office , in the video chat , even in the Cyber bar. Besides, I also went to the factory to see the process and the final loading and transportation. Because of the good quality and the appropriate price, every quarter's profit is so high that people want to expand sales. As a result , I went to Southeast Asia alone to look for some opportunities . whether Vietnam or other Southeast Asian countries, their textile industry has gradually matured and improved. Compared with China, due to labor force and other factors, China's manufacturing and textile industries are gradually shifting to Southeast Asia, but there is still a huge market in Southeast Asia.
With the gradual expansion of scale, I began to shift my foothold from Suzhou to Vietnam and developed areas like Singapore.

As for why to go to Singapore, I think I have taken into account that Singapore's market and economic location, after all, in the original plan I did not only intend to do textile industry, as to the fact that in Singapore, this country, this city, my products will be difficult to survive, but there are many benefits, there are many large companies, multinational enterprises, trading enterprises in Asia-Pacific region. District headquarters, you can find a lot of customers you will be interested in here, the financial conditions here are very good, for those large companies, they can choose to go public here is a good way to return to me, I really want to transfer capital to other industries, not just those products in China, I opened in Singapore through the introduction of friends. A company, as for why to open a Singapore company, because the conditions here are really very low. It only needs about one Singapore dollar or five RMB. Of course, some of my participation is involved in the process. For example, friends will ask me about the company's registered name and so on. One noteworthy point is that your company name is 10,000 in the process of checking duplicates. Never be identical or similar to other companies, which will avoid some of the issues above. Convenience and convenience to others, because my business has not yet been fully developed, this company mainly plays a basic management role. As for other transactions, such as Singapore, Malaysia (and Singapore is very close to the city), Indonesia can operate through this company, unlike Chinese companies, because Singapore. Low tariffs (most of them are not tariffs), and China's tax is really very high, so I can let the accounts operate in this company, outside China, without having to pay those relatively additional fees.

As a wise person, I quickly found another way to accept Indonesian coal to Thailand and other areas. This high-cost activity really made me think hard for a while, and constantly improve my treaty and budget. Until I came to the final plan, I was hesitant. As I was just starting, I am still looking for partners. Accompanied, friends in need can contact me.

And my other mature trade line was completed several years ago. I have a supplier who has cooperated for a long time. My idea at that time was to transfer wine to Thailand for sale, but in the middle of it, I made wine in Singapore, or I should mention that the tariff of wine in Singapore was very low. At that time, on the official website of the Singapore Customs Bureau, I checked the whole morning and listed a perfect customs entry tax process, which involved the Animal Bureau, the Food Bureau and other similar to Chinese workers. Business institutions, although troublesome, but the process is very smooth, so that at that time decided to abandon the discovery of Thailand, unlike some means of export to domestic sales, rice wine in Singapore still has a good demand, but he has certain requirements, first of all, you have a Singapore agent, or licensed enterprises, not all of them. Companies can sell wine locally in Singapore, these similar business services projects, I still ask my Singapore friends to help me carry out, a company named {sanitized by moderator}, need to introduce can trust me personally, let me introduce, they have some channels, whether in cooperation or in Singapore's Southeast Asian cooperation, in addition, help me the largest one. Busy, they can provide local directors, comprehensive messy financial statements, accounting, legal and secretarial services will be prepared for my professional, as for me, a visionary foreign trader, I pay more attention to cooperation with people, not only these worries to others, but also in-depth to tap those potential customers.

Fortunately, I have participated in some less formal but useful trade fairs and exhibitions in Singapore, where I can meet people from different trade fields. This may not be very helpful to your business, but it can broaden your horizons and reduce limitations. Therefore, I am not confined to one type. Besides practical products, for me, Communications, electronics, and so on are all very attractive areas.

Here I talk about my life in Singapore. Singapore is very hot all year round. Like Southeast Asia, I came to Singapore for the first time very early, but I remember it very well. I remember it very clearly because it was just a short time after the Spring Festival. It was the coldest time in China. Because I was alone, I was also a big man flying from home in the evening. Starting from the airport, I took a 20-minute bus ride. I was wearing a thick down suit, but there was a box of short-sleeved T-shirts in the box.

Singapore's temperature is almost above 30 degrees every day throughout the year, which is equivalent to China's summer. So here, every day in the whole year, I have to turn on the air conditioner. I made a five-hour plane. As soon as I got off the plane, I quickly took off all my clothes and left a sweater. Because of the heavy down clothes, I could hardly breathe. Arriving at the airport, I slowly and leisurely came in from the customs with a heavy down jacket in one hand and a suitcase in the other.

Although hot, some people will feel uncomfortable, but relative to China's summer, it is quite comfortable, there is no such stuffy heat wave, in China, more than 30 times I think no one would like to run to the road at noon, cars roared past you, a heat wave hit you even breathless. In Singapore, because of the flourishing vegetation, there are coconut trees beside the road, as well as those pruned urban trees, the air is very good, and by the evening of 5 or 6 p.m., it will feel particularly comfortable.

Of course, these are good conditions for people like me who need to go out frequently, but the most satisfying thing is the delicacies here. I don't know why there is a restaurant in Singapore almost ten meters away. It contains almost all the cuisines, Cantonese, Jiangsu and Zhejiang cuisines, Guangdong tea, Thai cuisine, Korean cuisine, Japanese teppanyaki, etc. In addition to the more common Malay steamed noodles and Hainan chicken rice, there are also restaurants full of characteristics, such as Indian hand grip series, Mexican barbecue, and even some famous Owl Restaurant (HOOTERS) with sexy girls.

Anyway, when I came to Singapore, I felt more comfortable than Thailand and other places. It seems that you can think more about this area.

By the way, other industries here are also very dynamic.

Think about it carefully, the original intention of choosing sales is to have a job that does not depend on fixed wages, and to wait for the leader to raise wages every year. It's about taking as much as you can. Later, slowly found that sales is actually a job by accumulation, for most people, customers are by accumulation. Industry knowledge, experience and so on are all necessary factors for order taking. From this point of view, in fact, sales are not much different from other job engineering, art, procurement and so on. They all need to accumulate experience step by step to earn a high salary. So now look back, at that time, I was a little eager for quick success and instant benefit, dreaming of ascending into the sky one step at a time, but I did not have such strength. Well, of course, when you were young, who wasn't?~

Anyway, I entered the company with this simple idea. As for products, it's pure coincidence. This kind of electronic products, I just know it, I used it once before. That's it. But I am really interested in electronic products. Sometimes interest is very important. Interest can drive you to actively understand products and industries. By interacting with customers, you will become more professional.

The first year. September 2013 to September 2014

First customer: British M.

The client was transferred directly by the boss. From now on, this customer is one of the best servers and speakers of all the clients I place orders with. Simple and easy to talk about. So it's not difficult to follow this order, but it was the first order at that time. All of us didn't feel that it was easy to follow this order. After a lot of experience, it seems that this kind of order is the most comfortable. But this simple first order laid the groundwork for my future orders.

Speaking of this customer, there's an episode. The customer had already contacted another colleague at the exhibition. After the exhibition, we have been contacting this colleague for quotation, and at the same time, our customers have contacted our company's boss through their peers. So the client contacts my colleagues and boss at the same time, and gets quotations on both sides. The latter, of course, was the last to place an order with the boss. Because of the price and allocation of these content, the owner has the first-hand resources. The salesman is a little worse. Of course, neither the middle colleague nor the boss knows about it. It is not until the order is confirmed that the colleague and the leader discover it. This customer is also very fraudulent. The reason why this happened is that the boss used to ignore business, but this time he occasionally received a customer, just when he was free, so he followed up. It never happened again.

But anyway, it's a good start to receive an order in three months. Although I also know that there is a lot of luck in it, almost all the prices have been negotiated by the boss, and then I will take over.

In the follow-up process, the only trouble is that the customer is in the lead-up period. I have communicated with the factory repeatedly, but the delivery date still can not meet the customer's requirements. Because the customer's shipment is in time for Christmas sales. Later, I advised my client privately that he send an email directly to the boss to put pressure on him. Later, we did advance the delivery date. But after a long time, I found that this suggestion was not very good, which would make the customer think that I was just a small business and could not help him on key issues. I once chatted with an old colleague. He told me that all the customers'questions were listened to him. The answer he gave to the customers was the final answer, whether it was due date or price. In this way, customers will trust him and leave more things to him. What we need to do is to make our customers fully trust us. Let the customer think that the order is given to us, and we can help him deal with all the factory problems.

It's hard to know if this is a Google translate problem or your brain is simply miswired. There is no flow of logic in your posts, let alone any interesting or useful information.
