Hi Guys,
Is there anyone approved PR who applied last year 2018? I have submitted in Feb 2018 and still Pending. One month ago ICA asked to submit family member details and we submitted.

First time application Oct 2018, got approved last week

Thanks man. But the profile I used for the application was rather average. Can’t emphasis enough that the applicant’s passport & race could possibly be the sole determinant to the approval- as long as you have a decent job/age/education

Bluescreamer, you ought to know by now, that probably a lot to do with some of the applications mentioned here may well be explained by the quality of thinking of the questions posted on this forum after we've gone to great lengths for years to educate them.

I applied in May 2018, got approval after 9 months (Feb 2019)

I applied first time on Nov 2018 and got rejection exactly after 5 months. With my profile it was kind of obvious but I tried anyway.
29 yrs Bangladeshi male, BSc from Malaysia, MSc from NUS and now working at NTU as Research Associate. 3 years of stay in Singapore. Newly married, no kids. Wife not working currently.
The letter says:
1. Thank you for your interest in Singapore Permanent Residence (SPR). All SPR applications are assessed holistically under the prevailing criteria, including economic contribution, education qualifications and integration with Singapore society among other things.
2. We have considered your application, including supporting documents. We regret to inform you that your application is not successful.
I am not sure if this is a standard rejection letter or is there a hidden message behind.
Can I re-apply to show that I am interested? or should I just not bother at all?

I think that is the standard rejection template people get nowadays. It is not indicative of future chance of success. So you can apply if you feel you have a material positive change in your profile.

And you all can compare bios till you are blue in the face and you economic conribuion, education and potential integration can be identidal but one can get rejected and the other approved all because of three words which nobody outside of a select circle in ICA knows what they are.
"among other things"
This is why we dump on folks always asking for somebody else's bio as there is no way to know what the "among other things" consist of. We can only guess as well.
