Post by Goodiebag » Wed, 13 Mar 2019 6:18 pm

29 male
EP holder
SP diploma and NTU degree

Stayed in Singapore since 2006
Parents are PR

7k basic + 2k allowance + 2 months bonus
IT analyst in Finance industry
Started this job for 6 months
6 years of IRAS tax assessments

What are my chances to apply PR again?
Last rejection was in 2016

Also what else help?
Having endowment long term plans? Buying a condo? Learning Chinese? Volunteering? Donations?

I'm out of ideas here.
Just shoot me your honest answers

Change race.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Have been here since 2006, Male and parents are PR... Just curious, any reasons why your parents did not include you in their PR application(s) back then, presumably you have not come of age when they obtained PR?

If they had applied for you and got approved, you would have been a 2nd generation PR and ________________. Right?

He meant he started the current job 6 months ago? He has 6 years of tax NoA under his belt, no?

Do you see any other viable options? Change jobs with significant increment, or get rich and invest in Singapore.

I did change to this job with 35% increment. But apparently from what I've been reading 15k ppl also get rejected for 3 times

and 2.5 million dollars price tag for PR.. hmmmm

Any other viable options? Maybe throw application at them every year? Collect rejection letters?

You can keep changing jobs and throwing $100 at ICA every year, and collect rejection letters, in your own words.

You kept asking for ‘other viable options’ but are avoiding the question that could be the root cause of your PR rejections.

You did request for honest answers.

Getting married and procreating is a viable option for many. Singapore has a Low birthrate and welcomes all attempts to boost it.

However, you seem most reluctant to consider this route for PR, so not many options left to show your investment to the future of Singapore.

Investment in property or other financial instruments is not altruistic, usually selfish. High risk that funds could be repatriated overseas to Myanmar in your case.

Repetitive application is just an exercise that is unlikely to yield any progress. You think this persistence differentiates you from all other PR wannabes? Good luck.

2006 stay in Singapore at the age of 16 yrs old.
Parent are PR but when they have it. Unknown.

There is a possibility in the eye of ICA. To avoid become second generation PR and get away NS.

They got it when I was finishing uni and cannot sponsor me anymore.

I have friends with much better salary and similar profile.. Just got rejected this month. So slim chance.

When it comes to PR or SC applications, nothing is impossible as we do not know the exact criteria being evaluated by ICA. For example in my case, i got my PR at the age of 44 after working on an EP for 2+ years but i did not own any property in Singapore. Likewise, when my SC was approved 4 years later, i still did not own any HDB or private property here (or own any businesses too).

Just wanted to put my point accross to say that every applications will be evaluated on its own merit so don't give up hope to re-apply in future after your situation has changed ie marriage to local, different job sector etc etc. Btw, i am not married to a local :)
