The only other thing I can suggest is to make a list of multi-nationals that have offices in Singapore. Each MNC will have global job postings on their website. Maybe there is something in Singapore that might fit for you.
Local recruiters are a waste of time. Imagine...
Local Recruiter (LR): Hey, I've got a hot prospect for you.
Employer (HR): Great! When can you send them over for an interview?
LR: Well, that will be a bit hard to do. She's in the UK. Can you talk to her on the phone?
HR: She's a Brit, is she? You know, I've already had three Brits on EP from Stan Chart apply for the position.
LR: Well, she seemed pretty good to me on the phone. Are you sure you can't give her a ring?
HR: I suppose I could. But, you know, we've just brought two dozen people in on EP from London to help out with that major transition project. I know we don't have a quota but my Singapore managers are already bitching about having so many clueless ang mo's running around the office.
LR: Yeh, I hear ya. These ang mo's can be a piece of work, can't they? She really wants to come work here, though. Her boyfriend is moving over for a job and she wants to be here.
HR: Wah lau eh???? So, if she doesn't like the place or she breaks up with the boyfriend, she'll be right back out of here, will she? At least if she was married... oh well... how much money is she asking for.
LR: She didn't say exactly but she's been making pretty decent coin back home.
HR: Hmmm... problem... she probably won't be happy with what we can offer her... and, I've got to pay for expat insurance as well. Locals really are cheaper, don't you think?
LR: Yes, that's true. Well, give her a thought, will you? Meanwhile, how about this candidate from POSB? Local Chinese, English and Mandarin skills, seems like a potential fast track candidate who comes pretty cheap.
HR: Great! When can you send her over for an interview?
