What if I am a complete beginner and ignorant of even the rules, but would love to learn and practice? :)

Hi there Maxwell, sorry for the late reply.

My recommendation is, if you love the sport, the rules and everything else will fall into place.

For now, i would suggest just joining in public games and learning from there. You can also look up youtube on what the rules are, this is helpful:

good luck!

Hi there,

I've been living in Singapore for about one year, but have been struggling to find people to play with casually.

Looking to jump into some pickup games if there are any around..

Cheers,

Austin

Hi Austin, there are certainly pickup games all around SG, it really depends on where you live.

Sadly, basketball isn't a very popular sport in SG so i can understand how you might struggle to find games.

why don't you let me know where you live and how often you play? Let's get you hooped up!

There are 3 courts that i always see people playing at in the evenings when i pass by.

1. Nearest to your place - Kim Seng Community Centre, usually local dudes and pinoys from what i see.
2. Craig Road - its a very short road in Tanjong Pagar. There's a court across from a restaurant called Bino Mio.
3. Pinnacle @ Duxton - mere 3 mins from Craig Road, there's a court there as well. Both Pinnacle and Craig have international players.

So you can try all 3 and see which is a good fit.

Let me know how it goes :)

Hello BlueSky, there will always be games upcoming but the question beckons:
"what exactly are you looking for?"

BBall games in SG are generally categorised as the following:
1. Competitive - Tournaments
Leagues with players that keep fit to play and not play to keep fit.
2. Competitive - Casual
Public players that will put in 100% on defense and offense, THEY WANT TO WIN.
3. Casual
Public players that play merely to sweat and get some balls through the hoop cos they like bball.

Lemme know WHAT you want, so i can tell you WHERE it is :)

btw, i'm not too active in the forums, if you want to save time, you can PM me on instagram or facebook by the same handle.

Hi,
this a great idea! I love basketball plus this is the best way to make new friends. I remember that I have played basketball for when I was young.

umm. Hi jia28, 2 questions:
1. What is this great idea you're referring to?
2. What are you asking for? Or want to do?
