Employer behaving irrationally.....

Post by dkboses » Sun, 24 Feb 2019 10:19 am

Ok, so this is a bit weird and will try my best to be as succinct as possible.

I am a PEP holder and have been out of work for the past few months.

However, On Nov 30th 2018 I was verbally offered a role within a multinational organization and received the formal offer letter via email on Dec 17th 2018 with a start date of Jan 18th 2019.

Till date, I have not started this role as the company keeps pushing back without providing any reason or rationale. They haven't rescinded the offer either...I have followed up multiple times without getting a clear response on next steps. My hiring manager is traveling all the time and hasn't responded with clarity to any of my texts or calls....

If anyone has any advice on what I should do ... please have at it - am at my wits end here trying to figure out out possible next steps....legal advice? Approach MoM?

Thanks in advance

They have probably hired someone else and couldnt be bothered to tell you. They sound a bit unorganised and everyone is busy blaming eachother.

Hi,
It's really not professional the way they are dealing with you after offering the job. I think they hired someone else as well because it took way too long and still no clear answer.

by now it’s already half a year, just move forward and don’t look back. Imagine if you work there, probably your pay check gets delayed :)
