Maximising use of shipping allowance

Post by Wentworth » Tue, 19 Feb 2019 6:09 pm

Hi all,

I'm very excited, I'm going to be relocating to Singapore in a few months from Hong Kong. My company has graciously provided a twenty foot container for sea shipping of my belongings to Singapore.

As it turns out, I won't require any of this space, and my company won't provide me with cash in lieu of this benefit.

Just wondering if there is anything I should bring instead or if there were things people wished they brought?

Furniture? I presume I can buy this in Singapore, but is it more expensive? A car?

You can sell the empty container space. It's called consolidation. Speak to your Moving Company. They fill the spare space with other people's goods and drugs and pay you for it.
