They were always such good fun. I've been back in Scotland for years so bit of a hike.
Have fun!

You all missed a good night. I drank way too much. I invited a non forum friend (my ex boss) in and he contributed as well.
SMS had BIG news to share which obviously I can't share but it certainly made for an interesting talk.

Look, obviously it's your site and you can do whatever you like. But unless you are going to make an open invitation for a members meet n greet, or share this "BIG news" from "SMS", then I respectfully suggest whatsapp would be a better venue for this kind of discussion. Again it's totally up to you, but in most countries, expats on sites like these as a place to exchange information and help each other, not to eavesdrop on the private dodos of strangers. Of course it all depends on what the owners' goal for this site is.

tic...toc...tic...toc...
There are plenty of avenues on here for meet & greet. viewforum.php?f=34
All you have to do is get involved instead of just being a troll.
The Moderators have been having our invitation only gatherings as to avoid any misunderstandings as often happens in a meet & greet. We discuss among ourselves who we would like to come. Or not. We don't tell you how to run your life. Have the courtesy to not try to run ours. We've run this site the way we saw fit and will continue to do so. Your presence/absence will go unnoticed like all the rest of the trolls that contributed nothing of any value to the forum.
And, if you must know, as that post was in March, it's common knowledge now, a couple of days before the post, after having spent just over half of my life in S.E.Asia, at 6 months shy of the age of 72, I finally and took down my shingle and officially retired from the day to day grind of going to work.
But you already knew that.

@tiktok - Just show up. That's why the location, date, and time are posted publicly. How do you suppose folks meet/met one another? How did you get the idea that it's a closed invitation when it's posted on a public board?

So everyone is invited? Are we all "Eagles"? Last two posts contradict each other. If it's a moderators only meeting, why not create subforum that only moderators can access?

Obviously everyone is invited.
